Put down your handfuls of mac and cheese and take a seat. The real food fight will begin on Wednesday, November 6 as four of DC’s top chefs throw down for the 19th Annual Capital Food Fight. This live event will feature celebrity judges including José Andrés, Maneet Chauhan, Ryan Zimmerman of the World Series-winning Washington Nationals, and Tom Colicchio.

While chefs Johanna Hellrigl, Marcelle Afram, Adam Greenberg, Kyoo Eom may all be vying for the title of Food Fight champion, they’ll be battling for an even greater cause.

Who Does The Capital Food Fight Benefit? 

As the battle rages on stage, you can make your way around 80 different restaurant booths. We can guarantee you’ll sample a few brand new dishes you’ve never tried before. You can even return for seconds without worrying about food or drink tickets! All proceeds from the event, including the auction, will be donated to DC Central Kitchen.

Have you ever wondered where unused food from grocery stores and restaurants end up? Community kitchens like DC Central use leftovers to turn unemployed adults into chefs, preparing them for a future in culinary arts. The organization also helps prepare nutritious school lunches and meals for local non-profits, youth programs, and shelters around the city.

Event Details

General admission tickets are available for $325, but you can always upgrade your experience with VIP tickets ($550). Doors to The Anthem open at 6 pm and the live show begins at 6:30 pm. Booths will be serving food and drinks as soon as the doors open.
